True Buddha Spreads Warmth and Compassion, Bringing Joy and Relief to All Beings
During the harsh winter season, many underprivileged groups face immense challenges in their daily lives. To provide warmth and support to those in need, Seattle Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple holds its meaningful annual “Winter Warmth Donation” event, offering warm clothing, food, and other essential supplies to impoverished families and children.
This year’s charitable event, held on Wednesday, December 11, was led by Master Lianyin, the temple’s abbot, along with a team of dedicated volunteers. Together, they delivered donated supplies to Thurgood Marshall Elementary School, assisting children from low-income families to brave the severe winter. The school’s principal, counselors, teachers, and staff expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Master Lianyin. We conveyed that all donations were made possible through the collective compassion and love of True Buddha disciples from around the world.
Though the winter is cold, the warmth of kindness prevails. This Winter Warmth Donation event not only provided material assistance to families in need but also brought a glimmer of hope, reminding vulnerable communities that love and compassion are ever-present in the world.
As the event concluded successfully, we reflected on the teachings of our Lineage Root Guru, emphasizing the importance of repaying the Four Gratitudes (gratitude to the Three Jewels, our parents, the nation, and sentient beings). With compassion as our guide, we strive to bring warmth and assistance to all beings, deeply appreciating the grace of sentient beings.
This heartwarming charitable initiative not only gave impoverished families hope for survival during the harsh winter but also touched countless hearts, demonstrating that love and care transcend the coldest of winters, warming every soul.
